Our fee is five basis points of Assets Under Advisement. So, $100m of AUA has an annual fee of $50k.
It is 10% of the excess return that is earned above the Index (Russell 1000, S&P 500, Russell 3000, or Bloomberg US Aggreate Bond Fund).
One of my clients has roughly $200m of AUA. Their annual fee for 2022 was $100k. Their portfolio outperformed the Index by almost 3% - we generated an extra $5.8M of return (net of fees). Our bonus was 10% of the added value (such an overused term) so $580k.
